Hello all, this is my first post...

Could anyone tell me please if it's OK to use Roundup around the base of hedging trees like beech, hornbeam, hawthorn. Trees have been in for a couple of years and are about 3' high.
Would I need to be careful not to get Roundup on the bark?

I'm getting a bit tired of cleaning up with hedge-clippers! :)

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Acer.

You should be OK with standard Roundup but do try to get it only on the leaves of the weeds Acer It is systemic so you don't need to pour it just paint it or spray it directly onto the weed itself then it won't affect anything else.

Thanks John. Would you be fairly confident that if I do get it on the bark accidentally, that it wouldn't do any harm?

    Regards,
    Noel.
