    Hello

We are new on this forum and in need of some advice!:D

We have a squirrel coming into our garden and digging our plants up. We did find it digging in our newly laid lawn and burying nuts.
We went out in the garden this evening to find holes in several pots and some plants pulled out. This is very frustrating as all our hard work so far could be ruined from this squirrel! Is there anything we can do to deter him from killing all our lovely plants?

    Any help/advice would be great.;)

Thanks in advance for any information!:thumb:

Red squirrels are common in our village but not heard of any damage to plants ,the seem to go into the gardens opposite the local woods where there are a lot of trees.

Here, here. Shoot them between the eyes! Mind you, I did get a new oak tree this year courtesy of deposited acorn...

    Moth balls.
I was having a terrible time with grey squirrels digging up the grass & flowers eating all the bird food etc.
Someone told me to put moth balls round the fence , under some foliage if possible so they last longer.
Apparently they hate the smell and go elsewhere.
I haven't seen one in the garden for over a month.

    Hi loofah,(grew one from seed:))
Hate to tell you but scuggies bite the tip off of acorns to stop them germinating. Jays spread acorns, it probably dropped it after being scared by PG's 410:D

I have a 'cat', and it does the job beautifully in seeing off the little tree rats when they are raiding my Hazel tree....Her name is 'Black Widow', and she propels marbles at a fair rate of knots!:thumb:
