Just been given 40 quid from my Gran (bless her) to buy a new wheelbarrow for my birthday. What should i get and where from? I've got a homebase, B and Q and a couple of garden centres near me but no idea what to look for (its just for general purpose in the garden), any help would be grately appreciated for a new gardener!! :thumb:

Your over-spending for people again Paul. The cheapest Haemerlin is nearer £50 plus shipping. The more expensive ones about £80 plus shipping. Andy is not a professional he just wants it for trundling round the garden. You may need the best. Your amateur gardener, unless rich, does not.

thanks so much guys, there is a travis perkins round the corner and i'll ask for a discount and smile!! :D My thought was that B and Q etc were a bit on the steep side!

I don't know any builders, although there is a big development being build in my neigbours garden so i may go and pester them ;)

Travis Perkins let you set up a trade account if you ask. No paperwork or proof of trade required.

B&Q have some for 34.99 look to be well made. Green frame, galvanised bucket (if thats the right word). Bought one two weeks ago and it does the job well. Cleans up nicely, even after mixing up lots of conrete in it.

    Steve...:)
