Has anyone got any information on the author John Weathers, date/place of birth, work, family, where buried etc., who has written several gardening books including "My Garden Book", "20th Century Gardening", "Beautiful Roses" among others.

My son is doing a project for school on Gardening Authors and has chosen John Weathers.

He (and I) would be greatful for any details.

    Thanks Leucojum

    Leucojum,
Like terrier i can't find anything on John Weathers the gardener. Don't mean to be rude but are you sure on the name? When i googled 'my garden book' it came back with the author 'Jamaica Kincaid'. There was a John Brooke.

Got me puzzled now:? Do let me know if it definately is John Weathers. Where did yuour son get the name from? Good luck.

    cheers

Library Press published the book (1924?) so contacting them might provide a few links to follow up... and the British Library might help

Yup, we got morals - still looking - found John Weathers was assistant secretary to the RHS London late 1800's early 1900's - but can't find anything else - yet. Regards Leucojum
