    Hi

I would welcome advice on the removal/pruning of approximately six 80 feet high leylandii trees. I would ideally prefer removal of these trees but these would depend on the cost.

    Advice please.

Hi LBaker, we moved 3 or 4 last year by cutting them down to ground level, we then laid a brick border and filled with gravel, hey presto there gone, Hope this helps :)..

Not really sure what advice you want, Best thing is to get four quotes and take things from there.

Price will depend on acess etc. 80' trees however wont be cheap as its a lot of waste.

80 feet high? You need to speak to a tree surgeon!

    Hi LBaker,

For the tree size you mention I'd suggest a tree surgeon if you want the job done safely and satisfactorily. Look for someone who carries relevant NPTC qualifictions (38,39 poss. 40 &41) unless they have a MEWP (Mobile Elevtaed Working Platform) that will reach that height. To dispose of the arisings a chipper and big tipper will be required. A competent will also have the correct insurances just in cae anything goes wrong. Please try and stay away from the rogue cowboys and 'man with a chainsaw' as they can be dangerous in so many ways.

    All the best,
    Matthew
