O2. You have been a member for a month. Of course I am serious. The beer was under £1, The slug bait was £1.39. What can I be not serious about?

I have a zero tollerance policy towards slugs and snails. Mostly i squish them but this can ger a bit messy so with large numbers i like to collect them up in a bucket with a lid until i have a decent number and thenpour boiling water into the bucket to finish them off. The err, remains then get binned.

I also take a proactive approach to dealing with them. By getting to know where they hide out during the day i can hunt them down and collect them up when they are dormant. I have had great sucess with this method. I did though at the height of last summers epidemic go on night patrols (midnight is best) and 'catch them in the act'. However by doing this you not only miss out on sleep but also get made fun of by non gardening relatives!!
