Can't use the smilies anymore

Eversince I changed computer to a mac I haven't been able to use the smilies.
I'm not sure it's that.
I also changed sever to BT.
I am finding it hard to express what I mean , I would hate anyone to take my posts the wrong way.
Help

I'm getting fed up with Ha Ha and LOL.

 

Thats it I have no emotions left.
No smilies no nothing.
No one to help me, I'm on my own .
What am I to do. ( I am now crying) but I don't have the emotions to prove it.

lyn - i'm not a mac user but are you sure thats the cause? Have you changed your settings on the site, under usercp at the top of the page??

go to edit options, scroll to bottom of page and under miscellaneous options, change to 3rd option. click save changes.

then, when you post, use the go advanced option and a few smilies will be available hopefully! :thumb: :( :confused: :p :D :o :eek: :rolleyes: (just to show off!!)

 

Hi Lyn, it's not the Mac as I can use them Have you tried using the symbols to insert the smiley? I noticed that on the new site people were putting the smilies in brackets, and some were putting instead of [img] but not necessary anyway.
Good to see another Mac user out there:D

About the mac I have only had it a few weeks still sorting it out.
But I like it very much.
I found it confusing at first but it's really easy to use when you get the hang of it.
Love the photos DvD's and video editing.

Seriously , I get worried sometimes when I post without the symbols I feel some posts can be taken the wrong way.
I'm not that good at expressing what I mean in writing.
I don't mean to upset anyone.:o
