well folks, havent posted for ages as i had been bought a used gh for my birthday and the weather has been awful, then along comes another freebie one, rebuilt it last week and glazed it on sunday.

cest voila my first greenhouse, (need to build original one soon).

thought i'd look up the forum yesterday and boy was i in for a shock, all these lovely pristine full gh's...makes mine look awful, have to start somewhere.

so here it is, needs a good wash though.

    thanks to all from before

    Alasdair

    ps tips would be welcome

never mind that its not brand new, at least youve got one to enjoy filling up with seedlings and plants and they are great to escape into when its a bit windy out side. i take a radio and a cuppa and can loose my self for ages in mine.

I never tip more than 20p. I am not only one quarter Welsh but also one quarter Scottish, and I now live in Scarborough....Make that 10p.

Enjoy your greenhouse Alasdair. They don't wear out so fill it as you go along.

    :) Hi Alasdair

Get yourself some multipurpose compost and some seeds and get sowing.

For something more instant buy some tomato plants and plant them in growbags or large pots.
I see you are from Scottland,so no rush, unless you are prepared to cover them with fleese on cold nights.
Good luck and brace yourself for lots of advice.

Actually Alasdair, if it is second hand, I would wash it in a Jeyes' Fluid solution just in case it's picked up any nasties. Joking apart I am sure that Dai T.P. will agree. But you don't get your 10p now.:D

Kathy, they closed the last mill in Darvel the back end of last year and moved the loom to the last remaining mill in Newmilns. Morton,Young & Borland actually make cloth for Laura Ashley and a few big designer names that escape me.

Mary/high kype, i may take you up on that offer thanks all.
