hi newbie

    hi everyone

    not done much gardening before , but want to start this year, l want to make a couple of hanging baskets to start with, l have got the baskets, besides soil what plants will l need,
    any sugestions please

    Hi Aquarious. Welcome to GC. I am sure you will do better if you find plants that you like and then come here ad say 'Will this work?' Oh and you really need a decent compost. Sorry to sound negative but once you start to do some learning you will find that it all works out.:D

    Hi Tracy Just look for some compost for hanging Baskets at your local Garden Centre or super store its clearly marked that will do the job ,I could suggest ,Trailing Petunia's Trailing Fuchsia's Bizzie Lizzies, Even strawberries you can look out for,and many more ,and in time you will soon have your favourites Hope this has helped you.Good luck :)

    l didnt no you could put toms in a hanging basket do you mix them in with flowers

    yes Aquarious, I mix them with flowers, im still at the "thinking" stage, probably red yellow and orange theme.. I use feed pellets and water crystals too... Happy planting...Dee..
