Recommend acer book?

    Vertrees is the 'bible' so far as Japanese maples are concerned. You can not do better. It will be money well spent :)

    Agreed. I have the book but no Acers and still reckon it is a worthwhile thing to possess.
    Also have An Illustrated Guide to Maples by AntoineLe Hardy De Beaulieu, which is about all Acers and may well be a bit out of date, but still a lovely book.
