hey guys/girls.. was sunny for a few hours.. then the wind and clouds came back and it went icy cold.. it was horrible ! green house is lovely n warm though! had to refill the paraffin so while in there i was warm.. surprisingly overnight we had no snow.. so all the snow on the greenhouse is gone.. as soon as summer is over.. im going to be getting some plastic sheets *PVC* and put them on top of some bubble wrap on the roof of the green house to keep more heat in and not shatter (even though iv been lucky so far) but make it so its put on with a nut so i can take it off in summer..

Always amazing how quickly snow disappears here, almost as fast as it arrives!

    .
.Wind has swung round to the south west, much milder now.

Thank goodness for global warming, or else we would have been under 2 metres of snow by now.

(should have said 6 feet 6 inches, but do not wish to upset the PC brigade)

0c here Woo at the mo, cloud cover, dry and no snow. Looking out of the window its hard to believe that so many of you are bogged down with snow. I count myself lucky. Hope things get better for you all. Take it easy. 02

Morning all, we had a bit more snow in the night.
A light covering on the car this morning.
It seems a bit warmer, no wind ,but more snow forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
    I just love February NOT.

It's turned into a lovely winters day, lots of sun and the snow is melting fast.
Should be all gone by the next lot arrives.:(

    Good Morning everyone.
Had a bit mroe snow and sleet yesterday evening in MK, then it just turned cold.
The drive to work this morning was -3 all the way from Mk to Biggleswade. I sware the wind blows straight from Russia to Biggleswade........
It was brass monkey time this morning.

Roads very shiny and slippery unless you drive a BMW or an Audi. apparently the road gets heated up just for them so these car-ownders can drive like the proverbial prats.

never mind. I took it carefully and slowly because there was not much grip on the A603 and the A1 in places was a bit skittish too.

    Will this winter ever end.....:mad::mad:

It's too dark to get out int he garden when I get home, and now I only have this weekend to make some impression on the garden before we go away to Kenya for 2 weeks and much as I'm looking forward to this holiday there is much to do.
I know my knee will thank me for it but the garden won't.

What I now need is someone to clean out the green house, dig up the veg. patch. cut back all the stalks etc...that I should have sorted out ealrier, dig over the flower beds, check if the bulbs are coming thru, plant some more bulbs, go to Ma;s house and dig over the veg. patch, remove shingle and re-lay the weed-proof matting and put shingle back and repair and paint her fence.:flag::flag:

I think I'll just go to Kenya instead.

    Morning all.
Bitterly cold here, despite being nice and sunny. No more snow yet, just lots of ice.

Take care all and have a good day.

    Morning all.
Lol Init sister someone's got an awful lot of work to do for their mummy!:hehe:

The snow and ice flatly refuses to go even though we had no more snow yesterday.

The bus routes (as of yesterday afternoon) were still not cleared, our estate is a proper nightmare for people trying to get out of it and go to work.

The sun is still not wanting to clear up this natural mess so I guess we will still have our layer of ice and snow when the 'other lot' drops.Hel.xxx.
