    hello,

i read somewhere how you should only pick japonica fatcia seeds once the stem they are on is dead, that way you know that the seeds have received everything they need from the plant and the seeds are fullt grown.

i picked some today but i'm wondering if ive left it too late?

the seeds head has gone all black but the seeds inside look all right.

    what do you guys think?

    thanks
    zac

Probably OK, but not tried home grown seed myself.
Not a great time of the year to be sowing but good luck.

    It's up to yourself Zac.
I reckon you have nothing to loose.
Fresh seed can be much better than stored seed so I would plant some now and hope I could get any seedlings through the winter
And keep some seed to sow in the spring..
    Anything will be a bonus.
Do let us know how you get on.
