Hello all, I join on a sad note, as one of my poor Laurus' is dying, it seems.

I bought it over a year ago at a garden centre, and it's mate is thriving while it dies. It started off ok, but gradually each 'branch' started to die, and the leaves have turned brown. It now looks a sorry site almost next to the one which i bought at the very same time. Over the course of the year I did trim back the branches that looked really pitiful, but to no avail.

    Any ideas? Is it gone?

    Thanks in advance, emer.

I think this has been a "bad year" for Bay.

I've seen dozens that have died showing the same symptoms as yours, Emer, including my own.

Not sure why. Or what can be done. I suspect not even Otis Reading can save them.
