    Well dude there are some water plants which can keep your pond water clear, I think u can try that.

    Hello HarryG1, sorry that’s not strictly true.
    ANY plant will keep the pond water clear IF there is enough of it.

    You have to understand why it turns green in order to understand how you can stop it.

    Water turns green because of an algae, the algae lives on nutrients in the water and sunlight. If you introduce a plant that covers the pond surface you thereby reduce the available amount of sunlight entering the water, stopping / slowing down the algae.


    Lilies do this because they have large leaves, but the best plant for this has to be duckweed as its very small and after a short time covers the whole surface area, but that in itself is a whole new problem. Or as in Marley Farleys case there are just so many plants of different species there is hardly any surface water to be seen
