oh and the Ligualaria is not "Desdimona" it is "Brit- Marie- Crawford", it is a spectacular black leaved pland for wet ground. VERY dramatic, just LOVE it!

Thanks MF and Waco. Its an old rose, I planted many years ago. I love the delicate shading of peace.

OK Guys, as if the competition is not hard enough, some of you are putting your pics in frames now [IMG] how do you do it?

Juliet, how did you produce your "Fire & Brimstone" from last months comp?

I have not entered anything yet, still trying to find one that is good enough.

    Sue

Sue I did it with Adobe Photoshop. The flower and butterfly already had a dark background but I used the brush tool to black out the background. I had to enlarge the whole shot and finely painting round the edges and then the rest of the background to 'black it out'. It took an hour! It's not the most natural shot but the actual butterfly and flower were not enhanced in anyway.
    ;)

Hi Juliet, thanks for that, not saying that I could manage it though, sounds too high tech for me, but when I have some spare time, (never enough of it these days) I will have a go.
