    Help please
Can anyone recommend a photo imaging package that is simple to use and doesn't cost an arm and leg.
I would like to play around i.e. my head on dog, deleting or adding to picture etc.

    Many thanks Taz

Paint Shop Pro isn't too expensive and you'll often find Photo Shop Elements bundled with scanners, printers or cameras - it's also available for purchase. The full version of Photo Shop would set you back about £400! I use both PSP and Photo Shop Elements and in the past used the full version of Photo Shop.
PSP comes with a gif animator which is fun to use -

Try eBay for slightly older versions of either Paint shop pro or Photoshop. Older versions are usually perfectly satisfactory for most people, particularly beginners. I bought Photoshop 5 ages ago for about £10 on ebay.
There are also free ones such as Picasa which has had good reviews, or the much neglected Irfanview which for some reason the originator has kept free.

Thanks for all your help, I knew you would come up with the answers. I will look at the free versions first and Ebay. I'll keep you informed of my progress. Once again many thanks.
