  WHAT A SHOCK we got this morning when we opened the shutters !!! The last time there was snow like this here in S.France was 1956 !! if it's going to be another 50 years I thought we'd better take photo's NOW !!! :D :D
No sign of it moving ..forecast is for severe cold tonight !!!! THIS is such a change from the 18° + we were getting LAST WEEK !

Good job the wine cellar's stocked up ....oak in for the woodburner and plenty of rations in the pantry !

Well I'm just glad we live up here in the frozen north! It's been a few years since we had snow like that Mona Liza. I hope the cold doesn't ruin too many of your trees and shubs - it must be quite a shock to them.

Dave W .... I think the plants will be OK, we had a Hoar Frost last year (out of the blue again !) and I really worried then about certain things like the palms and olive tree, as everything was frozen solid for about 10 days....and all was fine ...I'm hoping the snow will have a blanket effect ! It's quite a shock for us as well !! :D I have managed to release one or two things from their covering this morning and they are now soaking up some lovely sunshine .... still cold though... and Wildflower if I could transport all this over to you believe me I would :D for me very 50 years is enough !! :D everywhere does look stunning though !!

Here is one of my Cordyline taken in February. We don't get snow very often so even when a small amount falls its an event.

And finally my conifers at the end of my back garden.

    Fantastic pics, everyone!

Hyla, it looks like your ivy has been painted on the edges and I love that tree!

You do get cold, don't you? Goodness, I don't miss any of it but enjoy looking at all the lovely photos.
