Using my compost

    Especially when I walk past the garden centers & see the cost of their stuff!!

    I've only just found this...I did once try to do this. I used to look after the garden for the William Morris Society in Hammersmith, and once at a meeting one of the loos was out of order, so I said, "Look, we have a problem with one of the loos, so could blokes who need to pee go and do it on the compost heap".

    Unfortunately, they all thought this was a joke.......

    Uh - you're replying to my story about the landlady harrassing me because of the compost bin, said you'd seen it before - I have mentioned it on this forum, also on The Environment Site and on my blog.....
    anyway it worked out allright in the end!

    I have recently started peeiing into a bucket with a layer of sawdust/shavings at the botton so neighbors can't hear what I'm up to and when there's enough into the composter it goes. Save taking mucky shoes off to go inside tothe loo. Also the pet rabits latrine is lines with sawdust/shavings. Into the composter that goes too. Wnderful stuff!
