I ordered a bin from Recycle Now a few weeks ago, after a while it was delivered. Great, i thought and put it to use straight away, i compost everything that can be composted now.

A week later another bin arrived (which i hadn't ordered) I telephoned to have it collected and they said it would be collected by City Link.

A neighbour noticed the spare compost bin in the garage and he said he would take it. I contacted Recycle Now and they said they would cancel City Link.

I've just been home for lunch and, yes another bin has arrived.

Are they hoping i can get rid of this one for them? Or maybe they want me to go into distribution for them.

I know i said i was keen to get into composting but 3 bins is a bit much. :D

I like the Iron Maiden signature. Never seen them unfortunately but got to see Black Sabbath, Nazareth, Budgie, Girl School, Hawkwind, Groundhogs and others that I can't remember. Had a dog named Rush as well [IMG]

Seen The Irons a few times now, last time was in Dec last year at the Newcastle Arena. Back on form and sounding as good as they always did.

They are going to do a, and i quote "Huge outdoor concert" soon so maybe you will get to see them.

I always feel old at rock gigs these days, not because of the young kids that go, but that doesn't help, but of my age group that just look haggard and with kids in tow, and then I think to myself, god that's how people see me!!!!!! Scary.

Just back to your topic of compost bins mine was left in the street as we front straight on to the road and was just left there until my wife arrived home!!!

Yeah the 3 bins i have had delivered where all left on the front lawn in view of everyone that passes by. The girl i spoke to on the phone said to leave it there when they sort the collection out.

The gig at the Arena was full of young kids and me being 30 something felt really old. It can only be a good thing for Maiden though as they have a whole new fanbase.

You must have my bins because for the first time I have managed to order three for £10 each, and will hold 330litres each.I had a letter last week telling me they will soon be arriving, but as yet there is no sign of them.Perhaps mine have gone to you

You don't need just one of the bins because as time goes on you will need to start on the 2nd one as the first one starts getting full.Usually you start turning the contents of the first one into the 2nd one, until you have a bin full of nice compost.Never ever give away compost bins, you will soon find you need more :D

Spot on with that one. I've got just one and its coming up to a year now any its just about ready but I filled it in about four months. I have topped it up a couple of times but I don't have room for a second one now. I've just bought one of those large blue plastic sheets and will have to empty the unrotted stuff onto that to get at the compost. Nice!

I've got one with a little door at the bottom you just shovelout from there and keep filling the top up. Nice to see another "Red Dwarf" fan, I thiught Holly was one of the best characters! [IMG]

No room for a second compost bin, the first one only sits a quarter on soil so taking a long time to compost.

Red Dwarf was excellent, smoke me a kipper.

Hmm, i might keep the third one then. There was a mix up with the ordering of the first two as the order went through twice and i have paid for them both anyway.

The third one came out of nowhere, they only have orders for two. I'll give it a week or so and if they don't collect it i'll keep it.

I now have two and wish i had kept the other one. The first one is now full and the second one is already on it's way. It's amazing how much grass cutting i get from two lawns.
