Thought it was only me couldn't see any ads (after I'd posted the message) and also note that the original posting that prompted me to add the note was probably about a link on the previous posting. What am I like? 'Senior moment' there I think, but where have the ads gone Nathan?

must be infectious! I found a dead rabbit by my bin - again, it was husband to the rescue time! He buried it deep and put another compost bin on top, to keep the dog from digging there! Nice to think that rabbit is helping now!

I approached the compost bin with caution this morning, carefully lifted the carpet cvover, and to my great relief no dead bodies. I only had a small amount of rubbish to add to the bin, just the sweepings from our garden path and patio. I dug a bean trench a couple of weeks ago on the advice of my good neighbour, and have been adding the contents of the kitchen waste bucket to that, which I am told helps to hold in moisture. And in case you might be wondering no I didn't put the rat in there!!

used to have some pet rats - they're nice!! But agree, don't like the wild ones - if nothing else, it's the thought of Weil's disease - horrible - don't drink from cans - they're often stored in warehouses where rats run over the area, and widdle!! Always rinse the top of your cans!! I bet that's put a few people off their pepsi!! :D

Yes I agree, I have always told my family never to drink from cans.

Today, I took delivery of two compost bins from the local council, nice big ones, the type that stack, with a door for easy access to the finishes product, A snip at £10 each! No chance of any unwelcome guests getting in here.
