I love carboot sales too, there are usually some plants to buy. I bought two clematis montanas last summer which are now planted in the garden and making a start on climbing up. I've also bought shrubs and perennials which have done well. So much cheaper than the GC.

they will be more and more popular, I guess, as they are a lot about re-cycling

One of our favourite hobbies, can't beat a good carboot - always get lots of bargains in shrubs, perennial plants, herbs and annuals, we can't manage the Sunday ones, but they have an excellent one on Wednesday morning about a mile from where we live :D

Hi svbmth, yep, definitely a small world but a very pleasant one down here. I might take a spin up Holmsley way this w/end. They usually start about easter, if it's started I'll let you know. I know hey're limited to how many weeks they can have so they probably try to get all the main B/holidays, all the best

Hi, SVbnth, I took a spin up to Holmsley but it hasn't started yet. I guess they'll wait until the next B/H now.If I find out beforehand I'll post it up. Hasn't the weather been glorious down here? All the best.

Every Sunday whatever the weather, our daughter Jane, hubby and son Jason, set off around 7.30am
starting at Derby, follow on to Tansley (both big carboots) they have bacon cobs and drinks of tea as they go along. What superb bargains they seem to get, mind you I've had some good stuff from our Wednesday trips.

I love carboots when the weather has been good for them and of course the big car isn't in the garage, gotta have room for all those plants!

Brandy where abouts is the Wednesday carboot?

    Helen.xxx.
