Our friends in North Wales have just moved into their new home, there's a few outbuildings that they knew about but they didn't reckon on the 1.5 acre "allotment" they've been "lumbered" with! Currently planted up with Potatoes, swedes, parsnips and leeks! They're NOT gardeners!!!!!

With regret, myself and Carol have volunteered to pay them a visit and clear their allotment :D

Some people get all the luck?

Until I see the site I can't make any plans but our friends are keen for me to plan next seasons growing schedule and provide the necessary plants/seedlings....... somewhat difficult living 250 miles away :(

Glad it's not me, my wife would insist it was big enough for us to have a couple of alpacas.

There's a place near where I live that sells alpacas. :thumb: and I'd love a garden big enough to keep one.

What! You don't eat sheep? You're so picky :) :rotfl:

That little cutie was born on Christmas day in the desert just outside Arequipa in Peru. They put the red ribbon on him because of being born that day. He was just four days old :luv:

This is one of several photos I have that I took of alpacas at "Paradise Park" in Hayle, Cornwall three or four years ago. My wife would dearly love one like the one on the left. She said it could live in the "Rabbit shed."

If we actually had room I would have bought her one. However just as a matter of interest, as there's never going to be a time I'd buy one, I've watched the prices for these rise considerably over the years. At one time such an animal would have cost only around £500. That much meat in Sainsbury's probably costs now about as much.

Sorry so late but! Our friends are renting not buyers! They were more concerned about grazing for their mule and Llamas' and sufficient room for their dogs.. (they have nearly as many as us!)
