:) Thanks for those links ziggy. We shall be up on our deck (above our outdoor living room) in our current give or take 28c night temps watching the skies ... and we live in the middle of the orchards so 'sort of' dark, ie, very little ambient light. :yho:

The best viewing should be from just before midnight tonight until about 4 a.m. but there is a lot of cloud forecast.

    So good luck everyone. :thumb:

Well, got out there with the family, sat on a big bag of rocks looking up. Missed all of them. Wife & child were letting out the occasional "oooh" as they saw trails. All I managed to see was a few satelites. Mind you, half a bottle of rum missing this morning so that could of had something to do with my lack of vision. Think I had a good night.:usr:

Has anyone seen anything yet? We have quite a bit of cloud cover at the moment. I'll have a look again, and then will have to scoot off to bed. I am a tired thing tonight. Hope some of you manage to catch a glimpse of it.

Late last night the sky cleared fairly well to the east and a bright light was clearly visible - I guess it was Jupiter.

I sat out in the garden until 2 a.m. (when it clouded over again) and, at first, it was disappointing. From about 1 a.m. the shower started to show and was quite good :gnthb: but nowhere near as good as predicted.
