I am shocked Gogs,I know they said we might get some today and we had a bit of sleet while out this afternoon but I couldn't believe it as I stepped outside the back door. They are even talking about it on our village website, and that was at 6.20pm.I expect the country will grind to a halt.We still have runner beans climbing up their poles as we are drying off the pods

Yikes!!!!!!! Had a couple of frosts last week, but no chance of anything like that happening down here !!
Mind you - we always do get a sharp cold snap early winter, then it ususally just turns back chilly and soggy........

Hi Rosa,Thankyou for your kind words.I was taking some vegetable peelings down to the guneia pigs that are snug and warm in the greenhouse and I was going to check the heating to make sure it wasn't too high for them.I don't know what happened, but I must have slipped on the wet snow because all I can remember is falling backwards and hitting my head on the lawn, and the vegetables ending up in the border.I had lost my glasses so had to go and get a torch to find them  my coat,T shirt leggings and pants and bra as it all went through the material and were covered in wet snow and mud,so they had to be rewashed

I haven't slept all night because of the pain in my neck and shoulder and I had a bit of a headache as well :( and to end the day,all the lights up our end of the village went off and so did the street lights as we were going to bed and then the house alarms were going off as well. [IMG]

I shall be fine once I get rid of this pain in the neck [IMG]
