Hello, I would like to plant 3 fruit trees and after looking into this am puzzled as to what trees to plant to pollunate etc.

I have been looking at a double shot cherry tree that self pollunates but am undecided as to what to put with it as really wanted a plum and an apple tree but only have room for 3 in total.

Can any one recommend a self pollunating apple and plum tree or do you think it is best to have one or the other and select two apples etc that go together?

Have either of your neighbours got fruit trees? If they have then don;t worry too much about having two of one type as they'll get pollinated OK. I have a Spartan apple, sweet william pear and a Victoria plum, all of which are giving great crops

I`d go with a Victoria plum, Stella cherry and a 2 variety family apple tree, the best being Cox`s Orange Pippin/James Grieve.:gnthb:
