Why does anyone want to know who is on line at any particular time? The whole world can look at our photos and read our messages. You'll never know who is "lurking" out there. Which is why it's not a good idea to post photos of children on this or any other website.

We can only write messages and post photos when we are online and registered. That should be sufficient

    Time to move on?

A lot of these so called lurkers are possibly people from overseas as if i am up early in the morning their are usually loads of guests lurking around..perhaps they havnt got the courage to join..or perhaps they just like looking at our photos..their are often guests in the herb section in the early hours perhaps they are ill and looking for cures.. :D

I had better remove my photo's of me when I was young in case some pervert starts looking at them.
I think Rosa meant that if you can see your friends name at the top of the page, then you are more likely to log on to chat. And I don't mean You HB just people in general.
If I wanted to ask you a secific question say on Orchids,I am more likely to ask you if your name is at the top of the page as you are the Orchid Expert if I don't see your name then I assume you are not logged on,so the question won't get asked :(
Yes lets all move on and stop playing hide and seek [IMG] [IMG]

I have told distant family and friends to take a look at the site so that they can share my holiday photo's so they could be guests who have no wish to join [IMG] [IMG]

Anyone could be the guests i have looked in sites where i am not registered so i would have been one of these mystery guests..some people just like to look around and if they like what they see then they join.

Well I guess we all use GC in different ways. It would never occur to me to see whose name was at the top before asking a question, Kandy. The messages/questions stay on GC forever and get answered by whoever whenever.

I come here infrequently and there are whole sections which I never go anywhere near. Does that matter?
