Played by Eric Weissburg & Steve Mandsell.
I just love the dialogue between banjo and guitar. Could play it all day.

Sorry I'll rephrase that. Since I can't play it, (as dendrobium probably could) I'll content myself by listening.

Just seen your comment way back in early October, DaveW! Can you imagine duelling banjos played on the double bass?????

Oh, and Dave - were you aware of the Bluegrass |Festival in your neck of the woods? Was at it this August, in Guildtown - great fun, and yes, I did hear DB - played on the didgeridoo........ [IMG]

    Lovely lyrics........

    I come from Alabama
With my banjo on my knee
    I'm going to Louisiana,
My true love for to see

    It rained all night
    The day I left
    The weather it was dry
    The sun so hot,
    I froze to death
    Susanna, don't you cry

    Oh, Susanna,
Oh don't you cry for me
    For I come from Alabama
With my banjo on my knee

I had a dream the other night
    When everything was still
    I thought I saw Susanna
    A-coming down the hill

    The buckwheat cake
    Was in her mouth
    The tear was
    In her eye
Says I, I'm coming from the south
    Susanna, don't you cry

    Oh, Susanna,
Oh don't you cry for me
    For I come from Alabama
With my banjo on my knee

They dont write them like that anymore..

    ;)
