The sculpture in the photo was done over a week or so in clay. Then biscuit fired and then given a copper sulphate glaze. The final firing gives that lovely bronze effect

These two were carved in soapstone which is a lovely soft stone that polishes up well.

Lovely carvings HB!! Very impressive [IMG]

There are things we call strange in this life that really aren't... unexplained happenings, angels, guides, telepathy, 'dead' animals & people... it's all very normal but society tells us it's frightening and science tells us if it can't be proved it doesn't exist.
Most of these things co-exist with us here, not 'somewhere else' but just in a different dimension, we just need to alter our angles of perception to experience it ;)
IMO, it's limiting to be too sceptical, and gullible to never question [IMG]

I'm with you there Jay. So many scientists close their minds to anything that they can't measure or replicate in a lab. So many spiritualist type people are willing to believe everything and a lot is faked. Both extremes are wrong and self deluding.

You have hit the nail on the head when you wrote "we just need to alter our angles of perception to experience it" Dreamtime, meditation, light trance, hypnosis are ways of shifting our angles of perception - so unfortunately are alcohol and drugs which I leave well alone.

My great grandmother was a psychic and announced the death of her grandson pilot during the war - two days before the telegram arrived. My grandmother was the same and so was my father who became a Catholic convert and vigorously tried to deny his psychic experiences. I know what I know and see what I see, but I never try to convince the sceptics. They will come to know in time. [IMG]

Jay and Hornbeam - glad I'm not alone. I'd never try to force my beliefs on anyone, but nice to know that there are others that believe what I believe.

My GG & Nan were both psychics too, coming from Romany stock (pikeys lol!)
IMO once you become aware there are other ways of looking at life, the more you see... and it's all fascinating! My OH thinks Im 'away with the fairies' (lol, maybe he's right ;) ) but to be honest I've been that way for far too long now to doubt my own truth, I don't have to justify it to anyone, and like Sheppy nor do I try! I'm always open to new ideas and change too, I know what I know and it works for me [IMG]

Jay,people don't want to believe in other things. It is like the church. If you don't believe in their teachings, then there is something wrong with you.

None of us can really say what is the truth on such matters and what is not.

I believe that we are like pieces on a giant chessboard, and we are all being moved around by something, and each of us are steered towards our goals.Haven't you ever stopped and pondered why you were the chosen one to be put onto this Earth. Each one of us I think have been picked to go on this journey of life and death.perhaps as witnessess to it all...don't know whether any of this makes sense

I have done lots of clairvoyant work over the years with complete strangers and their is no way i could have known what i told them..and i can see spirit as clear as if i was looking at you ..it doesnt scare me and i dont care if people dont believe thats their choice..
last saturday my friend went with my husband to a psychic day at the spiritualist church..she had never been before and their was a psychic artist giving a demonstration she drew a picture that was my friends grandmother and gave her a message that she couldnt have known unless it came from elsewhere..she also talked about my friends family here and to be honest this artist was a stranger to the area and she must have been 100% genuine to know such things and she gave my friend the picture of her grandmother..what more proof does anyone need..we need to move away from materialistic things to enjoy a more spiritual way of life..i am sure lots of the gardeners on gc experience happenings as all the plants carry lovely energy..and its working with nature..When i first started to mess around with herbs and didnt know what they were used for i used to hold the leaves and ask and usually i got the right answer of their use..and of course i am a firm believer in the doctrine of signatures..

I don't believe we are slaves to 'fate', I think we have ultimate choice in everything. I do not rely on anyone or anything to do it for me, but always ask for help if I need it - from whatever or whoever seems appropriate, be it human, animal, angel, spirit or otherwise. We are all responsible for our own actions and therefore I don't believe in blaming anyone else when things don't go the way we'd like.
Like Wildflower, I also intuit remedies of various different kinds and it rarely fails to be spot on.
As a reiki healer I also 'pick up' information for people which means nothing to me but is relevant to the person Im treating.
It really doesn't matter to me what people think or say or if they agree or not, but I love to hear about people's religious/spiritual experiences.

Hi Kandy - here is a better photo of the seahorse just for you [IMG]

Not sure how we got from angels to seahorses, but perhaps the second photo of my "Spirit of the Wild" takes us back on topic just a bit. It's earthenware and about half life size.
