help with pruning please

    can any one tell me when and where i should prune my twisted hazel tree, ive dug it out of the garden and put in a pot thank you :help:

    Hi Bassy,


    Can I ask why you dug it from the garden to put it in a pot? I hope it will be okay now.

    On the pruning side, I am not sure I would prune it at all.

    our dog keeps digging up my garden, also we are moving house

    Ah, I see, to move it.


    You can prune it now to enable an easier transit, take off just as much as you need and prune to a bud and if you keep it well watered it will be fine until it gets it's new spot. Good luck with the move, it can be quite a pain in the rear.
