Next year I am going to make my own wreath from shrubs in my garden, suggestions appreciated.
I bought one from Morrisons, although very nice at a cost of £7 50 I thought it was pricey, I decided to strip it off(after the season obviously)and keep the frame in readiness for next year.

I make them myself Pip, it's really easy and you don't even need a frame if you use enough springy ivy shoots to form the circle, then stick in holly and whatever berries you can find. Mine look a bit rustic but they are for free.

I make mine with oasi rings but both of yours are ideal

If you have a nice spruce smas tree varigated holly normally I add my flowers frommy Mahonia but this year they were well and trully frosted.

1 silk bloom hate these plasic flowers you see on wreaths for sale and of course I attach a nice ribbon.

I made my first Christmas wreath this time Pip - £1.99 for a metal double ring and I used the off cuts from the Christmas tree and some branches from the Leylandii as the base, then added some Ivy, Clematis seed heads, Holly and Pyrocantha berries.

Have a look round your garden in late summer/autumn and have a think what could be dried to use in the wreath - a friend does this with seed heads and lavender stalks so her wreath is also scented!

If all else fails, take a walk in the woods...
