I am growing peppers for the first time, I am growing a purple variety but when the peppers get a couple inchs big they start to form green spots that look like rot, they spread quickly, I snapped them off the first to times it happened but it is now happening to all the fruit. I am growing in pots, in a conservatory and water daily. Thanks for any help
We need a pic, but I think you are watering the foliage, rather than the roots. Your peppers have the early signs of scorch.:thumb:
It does sound like sun scald, except for the fact that it spreads quickly. I would expect sun scald to remain and for the pepper to survive. If you can't take a picture yourself, check against these pictures for something similar: http://gardener.wikia.com/wiki/Capsicum_troubles Are the lesions damp? Does the fruit turn brown or die?
