Yawn ... wakey, wakey ...

Morning everyone,

It is a beautiful day out there. The birds are singing and the sun is shining so I want to make the most of it.:D

I spoke to my friend yesterday who is in Portugal and was gently letting her know what to expect when she would be arriving home last night.I have no idea the full extent of the problem because we couldn't get into the house.I just hope she wasn't too upset and I also warned her about the electrics because we don't know if they were affected by the water pouring through the ceilings:(It is such a shame as they are a real nice family and me and their kids look on each other like we are family They can claim off of the Insurance but if it was me I would be worried every time I left the house.Next time I think they need to leave a key with someone and turn the water off before they go away.Something I don't think many of us do:p

Rosa,glad you got the car ok and now we have some sun you will be enjoying it once you get the hang of that roof:D

Jazmine,know what you mean about housework.It is like painting the forth bridge in this house.I just wish my hubby and the cats would stop acting like Hotel guests and learn to pick up after themselves:hehe: We are not growing toms this year as we lost them the last two years to blight so gave up in the end.:(

its lovely here this morning nice and sunny and warm great kandy for my run out this morning in the new car, away up to my daughters dont know whether to put the roof down as im going on motorways.
kandy can what a shock for your friends coming back to that when i go away i leave my key with my friend to check on my place.
does anyone know were woo is as he hasnt been on gc, i sent the tape to him iff hes gone on holiday i forgot to put my address on parcel do hope he gets it

shiney i can well imajine how busy you must be hope everything goes well it will be great when all work is complete, good luck with it all

 

Good morning Kandy, Shiney and everyone,

The sun is shining here :yho: after endless fog and drizzle! Lots of catching up to do in the veg garden, we haven't been able to work on the soil as it's been so wet. Did some more rock-digging in the front garden yesterday and nearly threw in the towel at one point, it's so hard digging out all that builders' rubble etc, and such slow progress.
But a cup of tea and 3 digestives later, I went back and did a bit more...triumph of hope over common sense
Kandy, hope your friends are coping with their house, that's an awful thing to happen, makes you count your blessings (especially me grumbling about weather !)
Rosa, you must be really proud of your car. My vehicle-mad 4 year old spent ages looking at the photos, he likes your galloping horses too!
Shiney, hope you'll soon be able to relax and enjoy your holiday, and Helen, hope you're ok

Its been raining off and on, and really overcast here, but its warm, so thats not so bad.

Its been a busy week here for me, we had some nicer days at the beginning of the week, so i have been outside as much as i can, and getting some cleaning done, and working outside.

good morning everyone, fab weather out there yesterday and this morning, had a great day out yesterday in the car with the roof down, i even went on motorway up to my daughters with it down and it was fine not a lot of wind, they just loved the car brought my grandson back put his seat in the car and he fell asleep all the way back, then stopped in whitley bay seen hubby and friends at local pub they loved the car, took it back home and walked back up had the rest of the afternoon outside our local glorious day.
skillygirl love the car, nice to hear your son liked it my grandson is car mad, when i took him to his grandads he cried he didnt want to get out the car.

I've been up since before five as the brids were singing and the sun was shining so have been sorting through a load of my photos that I have taken over the last couple of weeks and have put some of them on the thread about our stolen rotavator.

We have a lot to do today,have to get back over to the allotment to finish off securing the shed and hope that the thieves haven't been back in the night.:(Looks like it is going to be another hot day as well

Shineyhope the decorating is going well.I bet you are glad you will be away to miss all the mess.I would just get rid of all those boxes of stuff you have been hoarding for the last fifty years,the minimilistic look is the norm these days,less stuff to dust:flag:

Rosa,glad you had a good day and nice to hear your Grandson enjoyed the car nad nice to hear you enjoyed going topless up the motorway:D

morning shiney,im really happy with car apart from 2 lights on a stop light and dont know what other one is, just said its 2 in book and iff it stays on contact renault dealer, im roders as hes got same car, just noticed these on since the cd was put on, might have to go back to the garage and show them, it might not be much to worry about but best get it checked out as only have 28 day warranty on it..
anyway hope your house is coming along nicely bet you cant wait for it to be finished, have a great day

Well it is a lovely day out there again,the sun is shining and the birds are singing which is what I like

Drove over to the allotment yesterday to water our vegetables while Mr K did some more work on the shed so we will see what happens now.I will have to sort out some photo's of my veggies and the flowers we have in flower in the garden.I do so love the cottage garden effect and the wildlife seems to like it as well:D

Rosa,I bet your balcony looks nice with your flowering plants.Well done you for brightening up the place and are able to sit and enjoy your plants:thumb:Hope you get your car problems sorted.This is somehting you don't need at this moment in time:(:cnfs:
