Any ideas, maybe NZ origin.

    Put some of these in a couple of years back, they seem to be doing well and multiplying, it's a small bulb, a cousin visiting from New Zealand said she considered it a weed over there.
    Flowers appear in a small cluster, each about 3cm across

    Looks like Oxalis tetraphylla (otherwise known as Oxalis deppei) to me. I think it is a native of Mexico. It's very pretty, I like it.

    Lovely photo, Mike. I agree with Lavender, it is Oxalis deppei as I still have my packet and have a few blooming now. I find the leaves as attractive as the flower. [​IMG]

    This variety is not invasive here like the O pes-aprae (Bermuda buttercup) which invaded the Algarve a few years ago from Africa.

    Another horror from this species is O corniculata with it's exploding seed pods which has invaded virtually all of my pots and ground and I can't iradicate it! :eek:
