Hi everyone. I deliver and collect catalogues and see many lovely gardens on my rounds which really lift my spirits up. Today I saw a pretty white flower which was trailing all around someones house. Unfortunatly i haven't got a pic of it, does anyone know what it could be for this time of year?
Hi, weekend gardener if you could give a little more information it would help ie was it trailing on the ground or on a wall, what kind of flower, shape of leaves etc.
Chances are it's a jasmine, Weekend gardener. Is it this? http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=jasminum+polyanthum&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi or this http://www.crocus.co.uk/findplant/results/?ContentType=Plant_Card&ClassID=1668&CategoryID=
Hello, weekend gardener, and welcome to GC! I agree wtih stronglodon, a few clues might be helpful, big flower, little flower, did it smell? Perhaps it was a late-blooming Jasmine if you have been mild. Hope we all find out what you saw and enjoy the site!
I went to that house where I asked you to tell me what that creeping flower was that I saw, then I remembered that I didn't give you a proper description of it, then when I saw your answers I thought silly me of course it's a jasmine. I purchased one myself back in the summer, it was in a flower pot supported by a loop wire and smelt lovely and I didn't even missed it, it must have died on me. Thanks everybody for putting me out of my misery.
