moss/thatch problem

Good job there Snadge,:gnthb: as far as I am aware moss doesn`t spread by spores, that`s fungi and ferns.:thumb:

 

PHEW! - so it looks OK then? - ive put that Wilkinsons Soluble Lawn Feed down too...
should I get any grass seeds to put down?, more so on the patchy parts..??

me and the neighbour couldnt believe how much there was, there is loads hidden underneath, I filled the wheelie bin and that was with compressing it in too , just for the front lawn

how long will it take before I see results?

Depends on how much sun and rain we get. It could take a while to completely recover, but you'll see a noticable improvement after a couple of weeks.

 

ok thanks DHR, and should I apply any grass seeds>? (if so what type would you recommend?)

From what I've seen, it didn't look is if you'd need any as usually the "bare patches" you say you have mave have roots still.
The "considered opinion" is not to sow grass seed in Summer, best to wait until early September, by then you might find that you don't need any.

As for what type, I'd avoid one with rye grass in it.

 

OK thanks - I think I will do the back garden too as its small, the side bit can wait as its quite green anyway...
