Can you REALLY freeze courgettes

    I am not growing them but the farmer nxt to me is - as with everyone we have far to many but there are so many contradicting entries on forums that you can, can't - if you do they are soggy - can I have anyone's view please

    If I had extra room in my freezer, and lots of zucchini (we call them that here) I would freeze them whole. And then only use them in soups in the winter. Why I say whole is, there is less area exposed. Make sure to use a good freezer bag.
    I belive they would come out soggy, that is why they'd only be good for soups/stews.

    Yes, as Redstar says, they go soggy. That's why I never freeze them raw, but as soup or you could puree them and then freeze. Take up less room in the freezer that way, too.

    Thats a good way Kedi-Gato, puree them then freeze, yep less room. Have not every had an abudance of them to need to be creative.

    You can freeze courgettes Logi, but as with all vegetables they don't come out like the fresh thing.
    If you have too many to eat them all fresh then the frozen ones are best added to soups and stews.
