Lap tops

Hi can anyone tell me why photobucket will not let me post pics on me lap top. I have been into my account and there is no browse button and no little box to tic so i can post my pics any one know why :confused:

Also on another note my pc has died on me will not turn on, it was fine last night but this morning when i went to turn on nothing, I have unpluged everything and plugged all back in but still nothing is it the actual machine cos everything else comes on printer/screen etc are all there but the actual modem or what you call it will not. Any advice on both my probs will be helpful thank you

 

First thing is to change the fuse on your main PC that wont turn on.

Are you on broadband? Do you know if its a router or modem that connects to your phoneline? What is the make of it?

Does your laptop connect wirelessly/wifi?

If you dont leave your router/modem on all the time, unplug it for a bit then plug it back in and see what happens on your laptop.

On your laptop,
* press the start key
* press R key
* type 'cmd' without the quotes
* type 'ipconfig /all' without the quotes
* right click, click 'mark', and drag a box over the output
* then paste that in a post here.

It shows whether your laptop is on your network correctly.

Yes broadband i have a wireless router netgear, yes lap top connects wirelessly. ok will do what you say now and let you know thank you

 

ok tried that and i have nothing saying drag box over the output am i doing something wrong??

I have only had this a week thought it was the same as computa but found it is totally different more confusing, well thats me dont know about you

 

First thing actually, is your laptop vista/xp?

My instructions were for xp. I dont have vista since my test box died a couple of months ago :(

When you right clicked, did you have 'mark' as an option? If you do then go to corner of text and click left mouse button and drag to other corner. Then Ctrl+v in a post here (to paste it).

do i have to click between r cmd etc or put them all together then right click, i never clicked between them but never had 'mark' as an option
have i done that right :confused:

* Click start.
* Click on 'run'
* type 'cmd'.
* press enter key

Its been a while since i used vista, but i think you can do this....

Newbiegreen i have done what you said run/cmd etc, it has not worked, but thanks for that will have to try something else

 

ok i have fixed the problem myself how thick am i very i hear you all say, I was not logged in to pb never gave that a thought cos me name came up so now i am logged in just have to sort me pictures out :eek: :D
