updates are ready

when i log in on the bottom right hand of my screen a box pops up saying.
updates are ready for your computer, does anyone know what it could be.
I am frightened to see what they are as past experience i will get something keep popping up on my screen and i can never get rid of them and get myself in a heap of trouble. :confused:

 

Depends which icon the balloon is pointing to but if it's to a red sheild, then that's your Windows security updates updates!! Otherwise it could be programming or Windows Media player updates. You need them so don't be shy of okaying them.

 

thanks michaelmasdaisy, I will check then click onto it. I have norton security installed i always accept their updates.

if the shield is Yellow then click on it to allow windows to update........Red shield is for windows security settings

 

thanks pc medic a little earlier i clicked on to it and it was for windows updates, just when things have gone wrong in the past i get a little worried, so now when i see this i will know it is ok and will remember this.
