Walnut, a very belated Thank You for the ID. Your moth is a beauty and how did you get it to sit still long enough on your hand to get that wonderful shot?

Marley, just love your colourful shield bug. Like Peri, I also didn't know that there are such colourful ones, mainly green or brownish.

Hi Kedi I disturbed the moth whilst working and it was very reluctant to fly in the daylight,I put it under cover after the shot.

Unknown butterfly seen in the garden here in Florida this afternoon -

Found this little Corn Snake (about 25 cm long) under the front door over here last week, two days in a row, in fact.

Great shots of the corn snake, Kedi. Good thing that they aren't poisonous, because that last image looks like it's ready to strike out, ouch!!

    Thanks Strawman.

In fact, it did jump from out of the coil quite a few times, didn't like me taking so many pics of it, nor trying to get my tape measure close enough and my son trying to straighten it out with a broom. I couldn't measure it exactly but we both agreed that it was about 25cm long.
