Any ideas? They are full of lush green leaves to start with, then all of a sudden they have been bolting and then wilting. And no celeriac roots are evident. I don't think I am doing anything different than last year, when I got celeriacs the size of small footballs.

I've never grown celeriac in containers 1eyedjack but they do well in the ground for me.
I would say your celeriac is drought stricken. It has been very dry and celeriac likes water, water, water. I water mine til they're about standing in a bog.
I would try standing them up to their necks in a container of water to get them thoroughly soaked. I don't think you've got anything to lose.
    Good luck.

Ah, well, I have been watering them pretty heavily daily. I was a bit worried about overwatering but perhaps that fear was misplaced. I did them in containers in previous years without probs. Maybe next year I will try in the ground, but a bit short of space.

It's not too late for this year 1eyedjack.
I would take the best of them and SOAK them, and keep them pretty wet.
    You might salvage something.
