    :gnthb: Hi Y'all, Anyone know what this is? I thought at first it was a lemon but can't find anything like it......its about 8 years old, my mum (sadly no longer with us) grew it from a seed or stone and I had it in a large pot up until 3 years ago when I planted it at the bottom of the garden. this is the first year it has flowered, possibly cos its next to the composting bin!? It's about a metre high with shiny dark green leaves.
    Any info would be appreciated.
    Cheers, Rik.:help::help:

    Hi Rikchard,

    It's a Pittosporum, almost certainly P. tobira, but I can't be 100% sure since there around 200 species....

    Definitely P.Tobira. It is frequently used for hedging in the Med.
    I had the variegated one for years but never flowered as well as the plain green one, nice shrub.:gnthb:

    Thanks folks! I really appreciate the quick replies, I'm new to GC, and new to serious(?) gardening, having taken early retirement at the beginning of this year. Got lots of questions so I'm off to formulate some new posts..........
    Cheers:D
