Spuds on patio

    This should be posted in the edible gardening section.

    50/ 50 mix, dont let the compost dry out and use a general fertilizer.

    Thanks to all for the warm welcome.
    Has anyone noticed the price of potato growing tubs available in garden centres. They are made from polypropylene and bits of plastic.
    Approximate value 20p, cost to the public �£35.
    How many do they sell?
    Is someone having a laugh?

    Yes Frank they are,try using empty compost bags turn them inside out(black side out they warm up quicker in the sun)put your favourite compost mix in to about half way and plant about 3 tubers.
