    Hi
I joined yesterday and live in Plymouth. I had a beautiful garden until 2004 but we had to leave it behind. Then we had an alotment and now we have a garden again hooray. A Geoff Hamilton style kitchen garden.
If you google sheweevil, you will find my blog which has been going since 2004 (and actually started off about my garden). Please don't do so if bare bottoms offend - it's not a porn site but does have several of my husbands paintings on.
Yesterday I planted onions sets and interplanted with a variety of leaves in a large container. also planted out garlic rather late, I know. A tree peony some perennial forget me not and some crocosmia.

I also planted three organically grown blackberry bushes which ar e the native variety which will hopefully smother the hedge at the bottom of the garden and give us wonderful fruit, pies and jams.

Yes lots of new building at the moment - the weather had been not bad and things are getting off to a good start.

Thanks for all your replies guys.

I'll try and get some pictures of the old allotment on here but the new (to me) garden is a joy. Have put in quite a bit of backbone - a couple of apple trees and a pear, fruit bushes, my saved roses. I repotted a passion flower over the weekend which I bought last year that's just gone mental. Lovely south facing back garden, garden to the side and a north facing front garden. Ideal. Glad you liked the bottoms - hubby has just gone back to work after two years following two massive strokes within six months of each other. [IMG]
