    Hi guys,

2nd post, you guys are all so friendly and helpful thought I'd try my next one!

I bought a baby Euphorbia Charcias, only about 5 inches high and 2 wide, for the back of my new border in a gutted and then landscaped small London garden. It hasn't grown any new shoots in 4 weeks! I thought they were fast growers?

I've fed it every 2 weeks and watered it every night. The few flowers died in the first week. It's in a sunny spot with enough space, no disease as far I can see. I may have planted it too far under, is that the reason? Other plants in my new garden, the japsonica to one side, and a dahlia in front, are thriving (the dahlia is constanly flowering) so I don't think it's the soil?

    Any ideas?

I get the feeling they put on more growth before flowering in early Spring, rather than afterwards. Well mine do anyway. And it is very small - maybe give it a chance.

I'm surprised it was flowering at 5 inches high.
    This is a large plant.

    Give it time.

As per my first post about my fargesia, I think as a new gardener, I tried to pick plants that would grow quickly and I could get excited about. I think you experienced gardeners are teaching me patience...but if you could recommend a couple of more fast growing plants for my japanese/jungle themed garden, I would be very grateful! I'm planning a party in it in a couple of months, and would like some drama and wow factor. Too much to ask?
