Denis I gently squash them on kitchen roll to seperate the skin and absorb the pulp then wash them in a fine sieve, dry them in the warm then store them in an airtight container,if you have a propagator you could plant them now at 60-65f give them plenty of light as they grow.

Hi Denis, welcome to GC. I think growing from seed is always a much more satisfying method than cuttings, plus the fact you mey not get what you expect from the seed. In a few months you can post pics of the new 'Denis' fuchsia!

Hi Denis I too like Helen and Kathy welcome you.

I will be following thsi post of your fuchsia seed growing .

A few years ago I tryed drying fuchsia seed pods and yes they germinated for me ,but only got two leaves of the new fuchsia then they sadly passed away.

I must have done something wrong.

I must see if I still have the photos as I took step by step photos.

Looking forward to the next fuchsia update Kath

    [IMG] Hi to all,
I intend to put some photo's on the system when I have learned to build a web site this I intend to do over the next few weeks,
I've had to work this last three day's so nothing has got done I'm usually knackered after a couple of days but I soon recover. Shopping in the morning, maybe I'll be able to buy a book on web building then I'll be able to show my garden in full bloom.
    Best wishes to all
    Denis
