Well with all that rain there was a minor damage of my lilac tree. A huge limb severed through the middle of it. Totally breaking in all the way down the center. Was a small Lilac tree to begin with. As I am looking at it, I think I can only dig out the poor thing and toss it. So very damaged. And in the process the limb took out a corner of our gutter on the house. Lots of other limbs on the property, a day of cleaning that up. Also some weed wacking with the machine, and take out the small mower for hard to reach area. Then if I still have energy, take out the tractor to cut the rest. It will be good weeding day in one of my gardens due to the wet soil. I sound so industrious now, we shall see how long I last. LOL. Husband away for a week, so its me. But I can cut grass tomorrow after work, maybe LOL.

Red star sounds like you had a real storm.

For those that are wanting rain, (and I think we might be about to get some), remember this when the blight sets in.

Up to now in my part of the world its been great for keeping tom blight away, add some moisture and I'm sure the problem will start.

I played golf this morning in steady light rain, wasn't unpleasant as it was quite a warm day. There was a bit of rain, not much, on Saturday night and again a little last night.
It was surprising how much greener some of the fairways looked compared to their very brown appearance in places on Friday. But all the lateral streams are very low.
There's some moorhens nesting on the lily pads in the middle of our big pond next to a fairway. Fortunately that is kept full by an underground spring so they're clear of the foxes.
I'm still watering my patio pots. They act like little "cookers" in these temperatures and a bit of sun.

We had a fair bit this morning, I went into town earlier,(only 3miles away), and the place was flooded, a real cloudburst.
When I got back home we had not had anything like that amount.

It appears to have been very localised.

It rained overnight here. I am debating whether I need to go out and still water the garden though. The pots certainly. Sigh.
