    Hi everyone [IMG]

My name is Sarah (or Sar) and I've been a garden lover for as long as I remember. In January we purchased our own home and the garden, well, it's much to be desired! I discovered that it has been the same 'design' since 1961 when apparently lots of concrete was a good idea ;)

We haven't had chance to do much this year, an Annual border, weeding, learning to trim hedges [IMG]

Our house is situated on a corner plot, so it's rather awkwardly shaped. But I plan to create rooms and make the back garden section into a lovely relaxing cat haven (i love kitties, by the way and have four)

My main gardening interests are to keep everything as eco friendly and sustainable as possible, whilst maintaining an attractive human and feline space [IMG]

Opps, I seem to have gone on there a bit *blush* I look forward to getting to know the forums and everyone here [IMG]

Hi Sar and welcome to GC ... we like cat people here! [IMG] We don't dislike dog people either!

Look forward to seeing some pictures and how you progress.

Hi Sar welcome to the forum you'll love the time spent here, there are some nice friendly people like me and the others aren't too bad either :D

I think you're lucky to have a corner plot as more often than not they have the most space, mines a corner patch too and it's the biggest on our estate...I'ave been on google earth and it gave me a right good giggle finding out that, although I'm one of maybe two on the whole estate that really enjoys gardening!

It's a great idea to 'make' rooms and I'm pleased to know you're making a kitty heaven for your cats my neighbour has many cats and has bricked over her patch so the cats try to toilet in mine, we lost our cat last christmas but we made sure that there was a mess area for her in the garden that's now been covered!

Oh dear I'm starting to write another essay so I'll stop now....welcome and enjoy your stay!

    Hi everyone [IMG]

Thank you for the warm welcome [IMG]

I'm pleased to know that there are a bunch of cat lovers here, I'm planning the plants for my cat garden and will love any ideas [IMG]

Helen, you're right about corner plots [IMG] Definitely a good size, but the shapes can be awkward and i'm sad that I can't see my side garden from the house - more of a surprise while outside though [IMG]

I can feel your pain about your neighbours cats using your garden as a loo, we had that at our old house and I certainly got the odd nasty surprise while digging :(

Hi Sar and a very warm welcom to GC from me also, I have 2 cats and I know about neighbours cats using your garden as a loo.
I have a plot hidden where mine use the loo but others just seem to like the gravel more.

Hello everyone I did post a "I'm new here" Don't know what happened to it, well I'm bumblebee and I do a lot of my growing in containers, especially Fruit and vegetable, as the soil in my garden is very heavy, even though over the years I have put things in to loosen it up, but I enjoy gardening very much, and I hope to be buzzing around from time to time.
