The tree below I was told by the previous owner originates from the canary isles, it looks like it's going to flower soon.

    1) Alstromeria (don't know which variety)
    2) Day Lily, aka Hemerocallis. Again, don't know which variety
    3) Oenothera, aka Evening Primrose, as Ziggy says

The tree, no idea. How big is it?

Thanks. The Hibiscus definitely looks more like a tree than a shrub, maybe that's just the way its been pruned. It is about 7 feet tall. I've googled and the only one I can find that looks anything remotely like those leaves is the Rose of Sharon, I might know a bit more when it's flowers appear.

Louise, I always knew it in America as the Rose of Sharon ... I had many on my property in Alabama.

You have some lovely plants there.

Thank you. I can't take any credit though as it is my first summer in this house. There are some nice things popping up but some seem to have been quite randomly planted and I'm never sure if I'm going to have a weed or a flower, until it has bloomed!
