    Hello everyone.

The garden is about to have its nineth birthday and has evolved slowly but surely during that time. It is approximately a third of an acre and set around an old school.

I am currently on a mission to turn lawn into beds. Not that I've anything against lawn but him indoors is none to keen on cutting it. Interferes with the motor racing or something.

We are lucky enough to have six trees....only one planted by my fair hands. I love trees, but they can bring their own problems and certainly need maintaining, as my telephone wire keeps reminding me.

Current problems are.......the holy bind weed....the well travelled hop.......that little attention seeker, ground elder.....and not to mention the cute little urgently needs rehoming roaming MOLE!

Other than that, this year the garden is looking great!

Hi MOAKP and a warm welcome from me too.

I think lots of us also have your garden problems, or at least some of them. We only have one mole (one mole too many!) that comes and goes. Our kids have either a whole family of them or one extremely busy mole. He visits their garden in the winter months, how strange. He seems to be gone at the moment.

Hi Moak and welcome, maybe S of K could start a mole dating agency and send them all off to an uninhabited island for perpetual honeymoons :D

    Hi Moak & welcome

Sympathies for the dreaded Bindweed - we sent a day doing a fingertip weeding session yesterday on a 3sqm patch and must have got a ton of bindweed out - and that was probably only 1/2 of it!!!!!!

.... and you can send you mole to us - we love them!!!! [IMG] [IMG]

I had thought about issuing the mole with free emegration to Australia, as it's heading that way, but now I will re-direct it to you Honey Bee - looks like it might be party time at yours and maybe you could train them to dig up the bindweed.!!
