    Gives credibility, and you can put it in your avertising - not to mention, you'll know what you're talking about, which is more than many so-called gardeners do :D I keep finding them, when I get called in to do a job that they haven't done properly. Makes me mad - but on the other hand, I get more work that way! :D

    Haven't yet changed my career! Want to set up my own business - having only my personal gardening and allotmenteering experience so far, I'm thiking I need to get some experience first also - but how to do it is what I'm struggling with right now...

    For practical experience, I worked as a volunteer with a local charity - the Royal National Rose Society - got plenty of practice there...... Maybe there's somewhere similar in your area? I was able to do that full time for a year, as I was on sick leave - but even a day a week would be of use....

    We've got a National Trust place pretty much over the road - I'm going to call in Friday - they're not advertising, but I think it's worth a go..thanks for the tip - I'd rather it wasn't the NT in some ways...so will maybe try and approach private gardens (how, I ask myself..) It'd have to be a weekend, unless I can go part -time somehow!
